HNIT-BALTIC GEOINFOSERVISAS ANNOUNCES THE RELEASE OF CELLULAR EXPERT 3.1

Vilnius, Lithuania, October 8th, 2004 – Cellular Expert™ (CE) developers, HNIT-BALTIC GEOINFOSERVISAS (HB-GIS) Telecom Solutions Group, has announced the release of Cellular Expert 3.1 for ArcGIS 9.0. It is also complimented with new functionality.
Cellular Expert 3.1 now runs on ArcGIS 9.0 and contains such new functions as signal reflection analysis, neighborhood antennas’ analysis, better calibration performance, ITU geoclimate data, improvements in interference and protection as well as diversity analysis, CDMA toolbox with many additional functions and many others. On the other hand, the newest and industry leading platform ArcGIS 9.0 also brings its great contribution to Cellular Expert’s 3.1 functionality list.
For Transmition Networks. Cellular Expert Radio Links 3.1 now is better than it used to be. Responding to the industry demand, a new tool for planning passive repeaters has been developed for involving this data into the sites planning process. Also, new ITU geoclimate data was imported and sensible improvements for interference and protection as well as diversity analysis were done.
For Cellular Networks. Now the calibration process is much simpler and may be simultaneously performed from the different sites. This is due to improvements made for drive tests and propagation models calibration. As the result, models are much more precise than they used to be after the ordinary calibration. CE 3.1 also presents improved neighborhood antennas’ analysis for better handover’s planning.
„Cellular Expert 3.1 Profile 3.1 module and CDMA toolbox deserve special introduction“, says Head of Telecom Solutions Group, Vytautas Ramonaitis. In CE 3.1 users are able to analyze signal reflection and include those results into the telecommunications networks planning process, for the higher precision through the sites building processes and higher quality in services providing. Also, from now on Cellular Expert clients will have a separate CDMA toolbox for CDMA 2000, UMTS and CDMA IS95 networks planning. For nominal network planning, Cellular Expert developers added such new functions as network dimensioning, capacity and coverage estimation as well as power budget analysis. Also, CDMA toolbox contains coverage prediction functions for field strength, best server and etc.
„Rapid changes in telecommunications industry as well as growing customers’ demands are driving our software’s development forward“, says Vytautas Ramonaitis, „All the improvements are done with the high attention on the industry demand and industry standards. “
